My experience at Microtel Inn & Suites in Baton Rouge was disappointing. While the location was convenient and the internet connection was decent, the state of the rooms and the service left much to be desired.

The room was old and outdated, with broken furniture, holes in the walls, and a strange smell. The bathroom had rust stains and a drain in the middle of the floor, which was unsettling.

The service was not welcoming. I felt ignored when I requested a late check-out, and the employees didn't seem very attentive or friendly during my stay.
Location

The location is convenient from the interstate, which made it easy to find, but that’s about the only positive aspect I could find.

The breakfast options were practically nonexistent. When I went down, they had already run out of food and weren't very accommodating about it.

I didn't use much of the hotel facilities, but they claimed to have dry cleaning and laundry services. The overall upkeep did not inspire confidence in these amenities.

The room was terrible. The floors were filthy, and the carpet was torn. I even discovered bed bugs on my last night, which was really unsettling. The outdated bathroom had a drain in the floor that felt odd, and I was greeted with weird smells upon entering.
